the other object
The work is inspired by Giuliano Mauri’s 1988, “Bosco sull’isola”, where he introduces new objects into the growing nature, not changing the landscape.
“The other object” relates to Giuliano Mauri’s Vegetal Cathedral in opposites; Mauri grows nature around the built structure, whereas in the other pavilion the structure is shaped around the existing environment. The Vegetal Cathedral is a sacred place, whereas, “The other object” is a temporary one.
